Advanced Life Safety Solutions (ALSS) are a trusted company, founded in 2009 we take our position in the market very seriously. Safety and training are our key priorities and we continually adapt and diversify to ensure we perform to the highest standard year on year.
Our engineers are fire sprinkler ready. With all our engineers IPS trained, meaning they have attended and passed a hands-on training course to enable them to have the full knowledge to be able to design and install a residential and domestic sprinkler system.
During the course our engineers learn and qualify for the installation of fire sprinkler systems and they are certified to the highest standard with the understanding of the correct method of installing all CPVC fire sprinkler products.
All of our ALSS engineers attend a 3-day XACT course which provides them with the knowledge and expertise ready for them to install, commission and maintain residential and domestic sprinkler systems BS 9251:2014 compliant. ALSS also conduct rigorous in-house training courses as mandatory company policy and require all engineers to carry out a yearly CPD.
The XACT course is regulated by the National Awarding Bodies and OFQUAL.
The course ensures that our engineers understand legislation, codes of practice and the guidance documents.
It is important that they can identify the intended use of the building for e.g. are there vulnerable or disabled people on the premises?
There are other considerations prior to designing a sprinkler system some are; what are the current fires strategies and special circumstances? Are there any other compensation features that need to be observed and considered?
What type of water supplies the building? Mains, tanks or pumps. And many other areas of designing a sprinkler system from loss calculations to pump curves and tank calculations.
ALSS have invested in Canute FHC software - What is it?
Canute FHC software helps the design process and it also calculates the systems to make sure you get the optimum system for that job every time - it also saves a large amount of time for our design team and engineers, making us overall more efficient.
